Three people were killed when the satellite navigation system in their car drove them over an incomplete bridge.
According to some local news reports, the three people died in India after their automobile drove off an incomplete bridge and fell between thirty and fifty feet.
The Times of India reported that four engineers have been taken into custody in relation to the fatalities.
Two of the men, identified as Amit Kumar and Vivek Kumar, were on their way home after a wedding.
This past Saturday, November 23, at 2:30 pm, their vehicle crashed off a bridge that spans the Ramganga River between Faridpur and Dataganj.
Their bodies, locked inside the automobile, were not found until 9.30am the next day.
Investigators discovered that the vehicle had been using Google Maps to follow out-of-date sat nav data, according to the Daily Mail.
The bridge collapsed in 2022, yet the sat nav showed no signs of closure.
The three were returning from Gurgurgam, which is southwest of New Delhi, and were all security guards, according to the local media.
“The officials must be held accountable for this negligence,” a family member told the Hindustaan Times. Why weren’t safety precautions taken and why was the bridge left unfinished?
A formal investigation was also demanded by the relative.
A damaged car was discovered on the Ramganga River at 9:30 am today, according to a statement issued by the local police on Sunday.
After being notified, police showed up at the location. A Wagon R that may have been used as a taxi was on the river when the cops arrived. After reaching the unfinished bridge, the vehicle plunged into a river.

Following the event, local authorities were directed to “inspect all roads and bridges in the area” to make sure the proper signage was present.
“UP State Bridge Corporation Ltd. is building the bridge, and the approach road in Budaun towards it was open,” said Faridpur SDM Gulab Singh.
“An investigation has been ordered, and the guilty officials will face consequences.”
