Spotify Wrapped 2024 is here, and Taylor Swift is once again the platform’s most-streamed artist

NEW YORK (AP) — Now is the time to use Spotify Wrapped. Not surprisingly, Taylor Swift has been crowned its most-played artist for the second consecutive year.

The massive streaming service released its yearly summary of global and individual listening trends on Wednesday. In addition to seeing which musicians had the most successful year on the platform, users can also access their favorite artists, songs, genres, albums, and podcasts.

With over 26.6 billion streams, Swift was the most streamed artist in the world in 2024. The Weeknd, Bad Bunny, Drake, and Billie Eilish are in order of precedence above her.

Swift tops the list in the United States, followed by Drake, Zach Bryan, Morgan Wallen, and Kanye West.

Swift overtook Puerto Rican reggaetón artist Bad Bunny as the world’s number one artist last year. Starting in 2020, he won the coveted title for three consecutive years.

With “The Tortured Poets Department,” Swift also achieved the title of 2024’s most-streamed album. The songs “Hit Me Hard and Soft” by Eilish, “Short n’ Sweet” by Sabrina Carpenter, “Mañana Será Bonito” by Karol G, and “Eternal Sunshine” by Ariana Grande come next.
