Sharna Beckman, a creator of OnlyFans, revealed a startling incident that was a bit too personal.
Like many content creators, Beckman, 27, has a large following that is primarily made up of individuals she has never met in person.
This barrier frequently aids producers in keeping their personal lives—including those with friends and family—separated from their online image.
Because of this division, Beckman was completely shocked to find a well-known name among her followers.
The name belonged to her own cousin, with whom she had a close relationship as a child and continues to see at family events.
His subscription had lasted more than two months, she had noted. But she was shocked by his response.
“He tried telling me that it wasn’t him, it was his actually his friend, who was married, so couldn’t use his own name or credit card,” said Beckman.
Beckman described the awkward time she chose to approach her cousin about his subscription to her page in an interview with Yahoo! Lifestyle.
Her cousin claims that he was only providing his name and credit card information to a buddy so that he could access her profile.
Beckman was dubious of this justification, wondering why her cousin would register in the first place and even buy more of the X-rated material that was accessible on her OnlyFans.
“I was honestly sick to my stomach and too embarrassed to tell anyone about it.”
“I didn’t want to cause any awkwardness between the families,” she said.
Beckman made the decision to act in order to prevent more discomfort.
“I blocked my cousin’s phone texts and deleted him from my OnlyFans account. I just don’t get why he would subscribe in the first place, and then use his real name.”
“For example, did he want me to recognize him? “Then what?”
Beckman decided to keep the incident to herself out of fear of causing family strife and because she didn’t want her cousin to possibly dispute everything and accuse her of lying.
“I didn’t tell my family as I didn’t want to cause drama between everyone, I felt super awkward about it already, I just make up excuses now when it comes to family events to not go,” she told Yahoo Lifestyle.
In spite of this disturbing event involving her cousin, Beckman has prospered on OnlyFans, generating a large monthly revenue that approaches six figures.
Because she wants to explore her sexuality and accept new experiences, she has always dreamed of working in the sex work sector.
