According to sources, well-known Japanese actress Miho Nakayama was discovered dead in her home’s bathtub.
When 54-year-old Nakayama did not show up for work on Friday, the tragedy was revealed. According to the Mirror, one of her team members went to check on her out of concern and discovered that she was not responding.
Sadly, the actress was declared dead at the spot despite the fact that emergency personnel were called right away.
Nakayama’s most well-known performance was in the international success movie Love Letter, which she won an award for.
Days before she passed away, Nakayama’s performance at an Osaka Christmas show was canceled.
She reportedly told organizers she wasn’t feeling well.
On her official website, her agency posted a statement expressing shock and sadness at her death.
According to the Daily Mail, the statement said, “We are stunned by the sudden occurrence of this event,” and it did not specify the cause of death.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, she may have died from an illness or an accident.
Her son, who was in the care of her ex-husband, musician Hitonari Tsuji, at the time of her death, is Nakayama’s surviving child.
Fans are devastated by the news of Nakayama’s death. The unfortunate announcement was made after a large crowd had gathered for her performance in Osaka.
“I liked her since I was a teenager,” a devoted fan told NHK. She was always gorgeous and shining, and I remember copying her haircut a lot. It’s unbelievable that she’s dead.
Another said: “She was a tremendous source of strength and the same age as me.” There are no words to express how sorry and dissatisfied I am. “Thank you for everything,” is what I want to say to her.
At the age of 14, Nakayama made her acting debut in the comedy Maido Osawagaseshimasu in 1985.
She then starred with Takuya Kimura in critically praised television series, including A Sleeping Forest (1998).
With singles like Tada Nakitaku no and Sekaijuu no Dare Yori Kitto, a duet with the rock band Wands, her music career also took off.

For her first single, she won the Japan Record Award for Best New Artist.
After marrying musician Hitonari Tsuji in 2002 and relocating to Paris, where she concentrated on raising their son, Nakayama took a brief hiatus from the public eye.
She eventually went back to Japan and started acting again, making an appearance in a movie in 2010.
We are sending our condolences to Nakayama’s family and followers during this trying time.
