An OnlyFans model who worked with a person under the age of eighteen has been banned from the site. According to reports, minors as young as 13 have been able to get around the OnlyFans age verification method, raising doubts about its efficacy.
Italian Instagram model Michelle Comi says she was banned from OnlyFans for creating a pornographic film with a fan who wasn’t yet eighteen.
In a since-deleted TikTok video, Comi claimed to have sponsored a competition for a devoted fan to collaborate with her on content creation.
In a TikTok video, she clarified:
“We shot the video after I made a choice. To record the video, I had to pick a guy from my subscription list.
“After making a number of choices, I selected and met him.”
“We shot the video, and everything went smoothly, but I still hadn’t gotten him to sign the paperwork.”
Michelle Comi has been under fire for working with a person under the age of eighteen after the video was made public.
Comi has been banned from OnlyFans for breaking its rules, and the video has been taken down. OnlyFans only lets users who are at least 18 years old access the site.
According to OnlyFans’ regulations, only individuals who are at least 18 years old are permitted to view or publish content, even though the legal age of consent in Italy is 14.
Michelle has acknowledged that failing to confirm her collaborator’s age in advance was an honest error on her part.
She said that before making the video with the fan, she ought to have been more cautious and done the necessary research.
She also said:
The video cannot be distributed for the obvious reason that the fan is under the age of eighteen. It actually shouldn’t exist, in fact. Indeed, it was canceled.
“I should have made him sign everything sooner, but since it was my first time, I assumed a little too much.”
She fueled the fire even further by stating:
“I hope he had some fun at least.”
Michelle claims that she is no longer able to use the subscription-based platform’s services.
She stated in a Telegram post:
I was prohibited from using OnlyFans. Pay close attention! If you would like to help me, I have launched a new platform.
OnlyFans’ terms and conditions make it clear that using their site in any way that would exploit or hurt people under the age of eighteen is strictly prohibited. This involves exposing kids to inappropriate material.
It has come to light that minors have been able to register for accounts on OnlyFans following the Michelle Comi incident.
A BBC investigation found that by using fictitious documents or identification that belonged to older family members, minors as young as 13 were able to get around the platform’s age verification process.
The inquiry also turned up an instance in which a 14-year-old girl created an account on the adult website using her grandmother’s passport and bank account information. This case has been reported to the police.
Using a phony ID to create an account, a 17-year-old girl from southeast England was able to sell explicit films of herself engaging in sexual actions on OnlyFans.
After her bank account was deemed suspect, the girl’s account was frozen, despite receiving $6,000 in payments in a single week.
Children as young as 12 are using OnlyFans to reach out to adult material creators and request a meeting, according to school safeguarding staff.
A girl has reported using OnlyFans since she was 13 to Childline, a nonprofit that works to protect minors.
As more reports of minors creating accounts and creating and selling pornographic content come to light, OnlyFans’ reputation is suffering.
Although the platform’s terms and conditions stipulate that users must be at least 18 years old to view or upload content, children have been able to participate due to flaws in the verification procedure.
As a result, the website is coming under more scrutiny and demands for improved security measures to stop child exploitation.
