Man rides horse through McDonald’s drive-thru to see if he’ll still get served

Viewers are astounded by the reaction after a man rode a horse to his neighborhood McDonald’s to see if he would be served.

Who can recall people threatening to walk or bike through a drive-thru during the COVID-19 lockdown? We’ve all thought at some point how far we could push it when it comes to getting food from one. But one man made the decision to test this notion.

A horse rider who goes by the handle @Iggythearab decided to test his ability to have breakfast at his neighborhood McDonald’s while mounted on a horse and posted his results on TikTok.

On top of his Arabian horse, Iggy, the Welsh user is seen clopping up to the intercom and ordering himself a “sausage, bacon and egg McMuffin” along with a packet of apple slices for his four-legged companion. The entire encounter is captured on video for our enjoyment.

The user reiterates his order as he gallops to the payment window, where he tells the staff that Iggy is well-behaved, while the background shows spectators pointing and gazing at the horse.

“He’s friendly, honestly, else I wouldn’t have brought him here,” remarked the man.

The rider can be heard remarking, “Success, didn’t think they’d serve us,” as the two galloped off into the parking lot to savor their breakfast delight after successfully gathering the items.

Since it’s rare to see a horse in your neighborhood McDonald’s, the video naturally went viral, inspiring many people to leave comments with their thoughts.

He’s such a wonderful guy, but all I could envision was him taking a poo at the drive-through, one person quipped. “Nice thinking not to include a drink – no cup holder,” another person commented.

“Love how none of the workers reacted,” said a third.

Is it possible for a horse to pass through a McDonald’s drive-through?
We have some unfavorable news for you if you were wondering what the drive-thrus’ rules were after watching the clip.

Only’motor vehicles, vans, lorries, mopeds, motorbikes, and road-worthy mobility scooters’ are allowed to use the drive-thru, according to the McDonald’s website.

“The health and safety of our customers and employees is our top priority and for this reason we are unable to serve pedestrians, bicycle riders, non road-worthy mobility scooters, horse riders or any horse-drawn vehicles through the Drive-thru lane,” the website stated.

Iggy isn’t the first person to visit a drive-thru, despite government rules that forbid horse transport, suggesting that some establishments may be more accommodating to our four-legged companions.
