Today, more than a month after his untimely death at the age of 31, Liam Payne was laid to rest.
On October 16, the former member of One Direction died after falling from the third-floor balcony of the Hotel CasaSur in Buenos Aires’ Palermo area.
On Wednesday, November 20, a private funeral service was held in the Home Counties for the late singer.
In honor of the late singer’s passion for bowling, a tragic floral arrangement featuring bowling pins and a ball was erected outside the church prior to the funeral. At the service, a flower tribute with the words “daddy” and “son” was also set up.
Payne’s closest friends, his fiancée Kate Cassidy, his family, and Cheryl, the mother of his seven-year-old son Bear, were all present at the ceremony.

Among those paying their respects were his four teammates from One Direction: Harry Styles, 30, Niall Horan, 31, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson, 32.
To say goodbye to the late musician, Simon Cowell, TV comedian James Corden, Nicole Roberts, Kimberley Walsh, former football player Robbie Keane, and Cheryl’s Girls Aloud colleagues were also present.
The ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ singer, who rose to stardom with his One Direction bandmates after joining The X Factor in 2010, was one of the most well-known figures in pop music.
Payne’s unexpected passing shocked people all across the world. Officials declared the celebrity dead at the scene, stating that he had sustained a “very serious injury” to the base of his skull, according to The Guardian.
The star suffered “multiple traumas” and “internal and external hemorrhage” as a result of the deadly fall, according to the forensic medical corps’ conclusion.
Prosecutors also claim that toxicology tests revealed that Payne had traces of cocaine, alcohol, and a prescription antidepressant in his body at the time of his death.
Prosecutors have opened an investigation into his murder, and police have arrested three individuals: two hotel staff members and an Argentine businessman.
“Illicit conduct was discovered from which three people were charged with the crimes of abandonment of a person followed by death, supply, and facilitation of narcotics,” according to the prosecutor’s statement, which was published by NBC News.
