Katie Holmes didn’t want to wait too long for the financial status of her and her ex-husband Tom Cruise’s daughter Suri to be misunderstood.
The Dawson’s Creek alumnus corrected the record a few days after a media report on December 5 suggested that the 18-year-old is now a “millionaire” because of a purported trust money from her father that “kicked in” when she became a legal adult.
On December 8, Katie posted a screenshot of the article to Instagram with the caption, “Completely false,” and “Enough.”
Since Suri and Tom’s 2012 divorce after more than five years of marriage, the Batman Begins actress has mostly kept Suri out of the public eye. The teen is the sole child of the former couple, and Katie has started to share more stories about her in recent years.
