Despite her impending divorce from Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez is getting into the holiday spirit.
The 55-year-old singer of “Let’s Get Loud” revealed People how she will spend Christmas after divorcing the 52-year-old actor from “Argo” after two years of marriage.
In the interview that was released on Tuesday, she stated, “I’m most looking forward to spending time with my kids and my family coming out from the East Coast because it was a pretty intense year for me.”Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck at Elle’s 2023 Women in Hollywood event.
“Since I was a young child, the holidays have always been such a special time for us,” Lopez added. “And I truly look forward to the times when I can spend time with my sisters, unwind, enjoy myself, and make new memories.”
Mother Guadalupe Rodriguez, sisters Lynda and Leslie Lopez, and the 16-year-old twins Max and Emme, whom she had with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, are all members of the celebrity’s family.Lopez in New York City Nov. 3.
Lopez, who has been married to Affleck for the past two holiday seasons, stated that she is looking forward to this year’s celebrations as an opportunity to “slow down” and “enjoy” time with her loved ones.
She said, “We kind of catch up on what everybody is doing and how life is because we don’t get to see each other all year.” It’s simply a lovely moment. I truly like it.
“I love all of the decorations and the hot chocolate and the music and the food, and I’m one of those people who really tries to make it out of a storybook for my kids with all of those things,” Lopez continued, gushing about the holidays. Looking ahead to 2025, the “Unstoppable” star stated that it “is about a deeper connection to myself and to God, making sure we’re checking with ourselves so we can be great for everybody that we love around us.”
She continued, “I’m also aiming to push my creative boundaries and see where that takes me, whether that’s through acting, music, producing, or growing JLo Beauty.” “I want to keep pushing myself to change and try new things while staying loyal to who I am and the people I care about.”Lopez at the “Unstoppable” premiere in London Nov. 5.
On August 20, two years after their second wedding ceremony, Lopez filed a motion in Los Angeles County Superior Court to end her marriage to Affleck. April 26 was the date of separation that she listed.
According to reports, the “Shotgun Wedding” actress and Affleck are still residing in their $68 million Beverly Hills property, which was listed for sale in July but has not yet been sold.
Over the summer, Affleck purchased a $20.5 million property in Los Angeles.Affleck and Lopez in Paris in 2022.
Lopez is reportedly uncomfortable in their previous married residence because it is “way too big for her and filled with too many memories as well,” according to an August story.
Speaking to Nikki Glaser for Interview magazine last month, Lopez talked about her divorce from Affleck, acknowledging that her “whole f–king world exploded” after the A-listers called it quits on their romance.
She added that after her fourth divorce, she wants to be single.
She clarified, “I’m not looking for anybody because nothing can I f–king do when it’s just me flying on my own after everything I’ve done over the past 25 and 30 years, being in these various difficult situations.”Affleck and Lopez at the Venice Film Festival in 2021.
While talking about their film “Unstoppable,” Affleck made a rare remark about Lopez.
