Following Liam Payne’s untimely death at the age of 31, family members have joined some of the biggest celebrities in Britain to attend an emotional private funeral in his honor.
After Harry Styles, 30, fell from a hotel balcony in Argentina last month, he was “completely devastated.” He joined his fellow One Direction members to commemorate the life of their beloved former bandmate.
As they gathered around their fellow Girls Aloud member Cheryl, the mother of Payne’s seven-year-old son Bear, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh, 43, were among the first to arrive. Shortly afterward, Payne’s 25-year-old girlfriend Kate Cassidy, consoled by her 22-year-old buddy Damian Hurley, followed them.
It is believed that Styles, 30, Niall Horan, 31, Zayn Malik, 31, and Louis Tomlinson, 32, came at the chapel separately for the first time since their previous performance in 2015.
The creator of One Direction, Simon Cowell, showed up at the service with his girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, along with new Radio 2 Breakfast DJ Scott Mills, James Corden, Marvin, and Rochelle Humes. In a heartfelt nod to Payne’s passion for bowling, they passed floral arrangements featuring bowling pins and a ball.
A dark blue coffin with silver handles and white roses on top was later brought to the chapel in a horse-drawn carriage. A blue tribute that read “daddy” and a red floral tribute that read “son” were placed atop the carriage.
Before the dark blue casket was carried inside the church through a side entrance, the audience grew silent as Payne’s mother Karen and father Geoff exited a car and stood beside the carriage.

After being dropped off in a black Range Rover, Niall Horan and his girlfriend Amelia Woolley entered the chapel right away.
When Zayn Malik entered the church, he was sporting sunglasses and a black velvet jacket.
Today, Payne’s 25-year-old girlfriend Kate Cassidy and 22-year-old Damian Hurley arrived at the chapel for the singer’s burial.

Waiting for the hearse to come at the church’s front entrance is Payne’s father, Geoff.
Both of the singer’s parents observed the coffin being carried into the building.
Today, Cheryl Cole will be present at the One Direction member’s funeral. She was spotted earlier in the year.
Payne, who was photographed in Dubai last year, passed away on October 16 at the age of 31 after falling from a hotel balcony on the third floor in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires.
