At the Governors Awards on Sunday, Angelina Jolie looked like a pleased mother as she smiled with her son, Knox Jolie-Pitt.
The 48-year-old Oscar winner and her attractive 16-year-old son, whom she shares with her ex-boyfriend Brad Pitt, commanded attention on the red carpet at the Ray Dolby Ballroom with their eye-catching fashion.
Jolie exuded Hollywood glitz in a sparkling sleeveless gown in gold and silver, while a matching necklace and large diamond earrings provided the ideal amount of shine.
She enjoyed an easy chuckle with Knox, who looked dazzling in a tuxedo, while her freshly lightened hair was styled in a stylish bun.
Knox, who looked a lot like his matinee idol father and towered over his mother, made a memorable big entrance as the two posed for pictures.
Notably absent were his siblings—Maddox (22), Pax (20), Zahara (19), Shiloh (17), and Knox’s twin, Vivienne—making it a rare mother-son moment at the star-studded event.
At Sunday’s Governors Ball, Angelina Jolie looked like a pleased mother as she smiled with her son, Knox Jolie-Pitt.
The 48-year-old Oscar winner and her attractive 16-year-old son, whom she shares with her ex-boyfriend Brad Pitt, commanded attention on the red carpet at the Ray Dolby Ballroom with their eye-catching fashion.
The couple mixed with a number of celebrities from Hollywood, such as Elizabeth Olsen, Nicole Kidman, Demi Moore, and Pamela Anderson.
Filmmakers Richard Curtis, casting director Juliet Taylor, James Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, and the late Quincy Jones are all being honored at the event, which is organized by the Academy’s board of governors.
Angelina’s appearance coincides with her ongoing promotion of her most recent movie, Maria, a biopic about opera icon Maria Callas that is already generating Oscar talk.
Callas’s ultimate decline in Paris in the 1970s is depicted in the film Maria, which was directed by Jackie Larrain.
With only one sentence, fans have demanded that the actress win an Oscar: I am so incredibly excited to see this film! Really, Angelina Jolie’s portrayal of Maria is going to blow me away. She’s going to win the Oscar.
An further person begged the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science to simply “award Angelina the Oscar for her portrayal of Maria Callas already.”
A third joked that they were already planned on “running the Angelina Jolie Oscar campaign,” despite acknowledging they hadn’t yet seen the teaser.
“The trailer for Maria is stunning.” A fourth tweeted, “Give Angelina Jolie the Oscar already; I’ve seen enough.”
Angelina proudly gripped her son’s arm.
During the infrequent appearance on the red carpet, Knox grinned.
Knox appeared to be in a good mood.
It was an unusual mother-son moment at the star-studded event because his siblings, Maddox (22), Pax (20), Zahara (19), Shiloh (17), and Knox’s twin, Vivienne, were conspicuously absent.
