The league just hit Nick Bosa with a modest punishment for his political message following the San Francisco 49ers’ Week 8 victory against the Dallas Cowboys.
After his team defeated their longstanding rivals 30–24, the four-time Pro Bowler was fined $11,255 for wearing a white and gold “Make America Great Again” cap on the field.

Just so you know… Bosa flashed the cap, then sprinted off toward the sidelines after stopping by a postgame interview that his teammates Brock Purdy, George Kittle, and Isaac Guerendo were giving. Although it was a brief incident, it caused a significant commotion.
It’s important to note that this fine would have been applied to any item of gear bearing a personal statement as well, and it has nothing to do with the hat’s politically charged content.

Later, Bosa stated that he would not mind if the league decided to punish him for donning the hat, stating, “If it comes, it comes.”
Since the event, Bosa hasn’t gone into further detail about his political views, but it’s clear that he wanted Donald Trump to win the election, which he did earlier this week by a sizable margin over Kamala Harris.
Expect Nick to pay up in the next few days since we don’t think even the president can forgive an NFL fine!
