Aamir Khan and Emily Blunt will get recognition at the Red Sea Film Festival in Saudi Arabia.

This week, on the opening night of Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Film Festival, Oscar candidate Emily Blunt and Bollywood star Aamir Khan will be honored with Egyptian actor Mona Zaki, who was previously revealed as the honoree.

Khan and Blunt will also take part in the festival’s renowned “In Conversation With” segment, which has previously confirmed speakers like Ranbir Kapoor, Andrew Garfield, and Eva Longoria.

With a number of successful films under his credit, including the 2016 female wrestling drama Dangal, which is still among the biggest grossing movies in the region, Khan is one of India’s most prosperous actors and filmmakers.

Hits with Ghajini, 3 Idiots, Dhoom 3, PK, and 2002 Oscar candidate Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India are among the other noteworthy credits.

Blunt, who starred in Sicario and A Quiet Place, received an Oscar nomination for best supporting actress in the 2023–24 season for her role in Oppenheimer, directed by Christopher Nolan. Among the next movies are Steven Spielberg’s major event film and The Smashing Machine, which he is starring in opposite Dwayne Johnson.

“Cinema has been my lifelong passion, and to be amidst such an inspiring group of atistes from across the world is truly humbling,” Khan stated.

“I love all that this festival is doing for innovative and emerging talent in the film industry,” Blunt said in response to her distinction. I’m very excited about how they are elevating women’s voices and empowering them in film.

From December 5–14, the coastal city of Jeddah will host the fourth Red Sea Film Festival.
